Dedication to Charles Johnson

My book, The Hand of God, is dedicated to my late husband, Charles Johnson, the love of my life. We were married 39 years ago on Saturday, April 20, 1985. He was the epitome of a godly man, a faithful husband, and my best friend. He took care of his family and he worked hard helping everyone until his death. He was a singer, father, former track star, and baseball player.

Our lives began as husband and wife on April 20, 1985 and ended on July 7, 1985. Although, we were married for only 77 days, the love we shared lives on thirty-nine years later. In my book, The Hand of God, I share how he warned me in a dream about a seven-month test that I would go through, but I did not understand at the time what it meant. I am thankful that the love we shared helped to sustain me, and with God’s help, I passed the test.

Charles’ love continues to reside in my heart. He showed me how a man is supposed to treat a lady. Our love is unending. Happy Anniversary Charles. You are in the presence of the Lord and I am in the hand of God.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
